Welcome to the homepage of HPS research group!
Although sometimes we need to gather from different places around Europe, our main affiliation is Physics Department of Sapienza University, in Rome.
The name of the group stands for High Pressure Spectroscopy, as the physics of condensed matter at extreme conditions (high pressures, low temperatures) is the historical research topic for our group.
More recently, some of us started to investigate biomatter and biosystems, and this is the reason for the “bio” part of the name: look at the cake in the picture at the bottom of the page!
